Leadership Team

russellRussell Ward – Chief Executive

Russell is a graduate in Business Studies and accountancy with higher qualifications in Marketing. He is a member of the IOD and Chartered Institute of Marketing. Russell has over 20 years International expansion experience as a Sales and Marketing Director and Managing Director of both SMEs and global corporate private and Plc organisations, operating in high value capital equipment and process projects. Russell is instrumental in the company’s current direction in leading the team who are globalising the business. He has been with Motherwell Bridge since 2006 and CEO since June 2010.

 

 

ian-fordIan Ford – Chief Operating Officer

Ian’s career began in Sales and Marketing rising to Regional Sales Manager in the logistics industry. He joined a turnaround team as Sales Director and was promoted to Managing Director of this successful venture. Ian joined Motherwell Bridge in 2004 as Managing Director of Engineering Services before taking the helm as MD of Motherwell Bridge International. Following the company’s 2009 restructure, Ian now holds the post of Chief Operating Officer at Motherwell Bridge.

Colin is a degree-qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years experience working in the contracting and engineering business sector. Colin has made a significant commercial impact since arriving at Motherwell Bridge in 2009 and works closely with operational management to establish and improve financial controls and effective reporting. Colin is a well-rounded accountant with experience in contract and project management, auditing, budgeting, cost reductions, business control, IT and HR.

 

 

bob_hamiltonBob Hamilton – Company Secretary and Commercial Officer

Bob is a post-graduate qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS). He spent nine years post-qualification with an accountancy firm working in various roles up to that of Senior Audit Manager. He began work with MB Services and quickly became Financial Controller of MB Construction, and then Finance Director. Since 2003 Bob has restructured the Finance team to one which is much leaner and fit for purpose. Bob is also Company Secretary and has been with Motherwell Bridge since 1985.
