at a glance if the hoist is in “load” or “free chain” position.

to read instructions are all conveniently located on the handle,

Forged alloy
steel load hooks have wide throat openings with a slip resistant
barbed tip to better retain slings. They are also designed to
spread at 270-350% of the rated load to provide a clear visual
warning of hoist overload.
Patented
cast steel chain anchor prevents the chain end from being pulled
through the hoist.
