Force 5® “Offshore” Man Rider® Series
3180 to 6875 lb (1445 to 3125 kg) capacity

Known worldwide as the standard for meeting the toughest personnel lifting requirements in the offshore industry. Dual rated for personnel and utility lifting applications, these winches have type approval or Independent Review certificates issued by the classification societies of DNV, ABS, or LRS. Meet NPD, NMD and Den regulations for personnel lifting operations. Oil field tough to weather the harsh environments in marine applications.

Standard features:

  • Automatic disc brake for positive self-adjusting operation
  • Enclosed oil bath “wet” disc brake is fully sealed for protection against salt spray, dirt or moisture, providing trouble-free operation over thousands of lifting cycles
  • Manual band brake for additional braking by the operator
  • Galvanised drum guard supports the weight of a 200 lb person
  • 24 inch drum length provides ample wire rope storage for most applications
  • Ingersoll-Rand data book available on request
  • Top layer rated pull. A Force 5 winch always pulls or lifts its “rated load” at any layer of wired rope
  • Internal gearbox and disc brake combination offer superior load control when compared with all other types of air winches
  • Compact space-saving frame design and fabricated alloy steel drum fits into tight spaces
  • Versatile design for special applications requiring variable drum length and wire rope storage.
  • Standard operating temperature range is 0°C through 60°C
  • Minimum 18:1 drum diameter to wire rope diameter ratio reduces wire rope tear
  • Dual rated 8:1 design factor for manrider rating; 5:1 design factor for utility rating
