company custom designs and manufactures shell and tube heat exchangers..
The company also manufactures all TEMA types including RODbaffle
and Helixchangers specials under licence up to 60 tonnes and 680
bar g pressure. Motherwell Bridge Engineering has extensive experience
of fabricating ferrous and non-ferrous materials including – carbon
and low alloy steels (including 1.25,2.25 and 5cr-mo), austenitic
stainless steels, nickel alloys (hastelloy, incoloys, inconels),
copper alloys, duplex and super duplex stainless steels, titanium,
carbon and low alloy steel clad. The company operates segregated
areas for the fabrication / welding of stainless steels and non-ferrous
alloys. Titanium welding is carried out in a dedicated clean condition
work area. All welding procedures and operators are qualified in
accordance with ASME IX or BS EN 287/288 fusion welding standards.
To complement the manufacturing facility Motherwell Bridge Engineering
offers a service to repair, refurbish or retube equipment at the
Motherwell workshops on a 24 hour a day, all year round basis. Motherwell
Bridge Engineering has specialist teams and equipment permanently
available, which can be mobilised at very short notice to carry
out emergency or planned, specialised work on shell and tube exchangers
at locations on or offshore. This service includes engineering and
managing small turnarounds for inspection, repair, reinstatement
and testing. Motherwell Bridge Engineering holds contracts with
various end users for regularly utilised support services.
