Health, Safety & Environmental Considerations

The management of MB Material Handling Systems is fully aware of their responsibilities relating to Health & Safety and Environmental issues.

Any equipment designed and manufactured by MB Material Handling Systems will comply with the Supply of Machinery Regulations (1994) and will be supplied with the relevant Certification and CE Mark. Where required, risk assessments will be carried out and a Technical file will be maintained in accordance with the regulations.

MB Material Handling Systems will ensure that any machinery within the company’s supply is integrated into an overall system which is safe and without risk when properly used by trained personnel and all our advice and recommendations relating to the machinery and it’s use in an overall integrated system are taken into account.

The Company would also be pleased to contribute our engineers’ knowledge and experience to assist in formulating a comprehensive safety regime for the plant within our supply.

Comprehensive safety statement and instructions both for operation and maintenance requirements will be provided in the Q & M manuals supplied with the equipment.

MB Material Handling Systems is aware of the newly introduced Construction, Design and Management Regulations relevant to construction projects and are familiar with the requirements of these regulations.

MB Material Handling Systems is fully aware of current legislation for the compliance of electrical control equipment of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) regulations.

Systems will be designed to customer specifications, on emission limits and immunity threat levels, determined for the operating environment.

Controlling the EMC of electrical consoles can be implemented by either the use of a TCF (Technical Construction File) or full testing of the electro-mechanical system by an independent test house.

Health & Safety Policy Statement

MB Material Handling Systems is satisfied that establishing and enforcing appropriate measures to control and monitor Health and Safety procedures is a vital part of running the business as an efficient and successful operation. To this end we will:

  • Ensure that plant and working practices are safe and offer no risk to health.
  • Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken in respect of the safe use, handling, storage and transport of materials and substances.
  • Provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of all employees.
  • Maintain all places of work, equipment and transport under control in a safe condition, free from risk to health.
  • Provide adequate facilities for the welfare of employees.
  • Safeguard the health and safety of visitors and of any members of the general public who could be affected by our activities.

This principle also applies to:

“The Design and Development of Software” based on the standard BS EN ISO 9000-3.
