Other uses in this industry have been the production of disc brakes. The construction of these compact free standing machines is unique as two heavy gauge machined plates are formed to take the full press load by directly supporting the main cylinder and press table. These machines may be manually fed or adapted for use with a feeder mechanism so that production rates of up to 1000 pieces per hour are achievable. The machines may be fitted with either mechanical or photo electric operator guard systems, and the controls incorporate a ‘double’ fail safe system for compliance with European safety regulations for fast acting downstroking machines which are fitted with photo electric guards. A substantial number of machines of this type have been supplied to a world wide market where they have a reputation for their strength and reliability.
