Internationally renowned for both the quality of its service and delivering to deadlines, Motherwell Bridge’s Plastics Division designs, manufactures and installs the full range of plastics equipment, facilitating the correct transport, storage and handling of hazardous, corrosive, aggressive or abrasive liquids and gases in the process and utilities industries.
Our comprehensive and fully certified services include: design, fabrication, manufacture and/or supply; field fabrication and installation; maintenance and repair; emergency callouts; inspection and surveys; and turnkey projects.
Tanks and vessels
Catering for a wide range of industries, we’ve found that flexibility is key in our business. We supply factoryfabricated tanks with diameters ranging from 300 millimetres up to 5 metres, with larger diameters being manufactured on site. Generally capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100oC, our products deliver high chemical resistance and control. Processes which operate at above 100oC can often be accommodated with specialist materials.

Pipe and ducting
Working to national/international standards, we design solutions that utilise the latest plastic fabrication materials and technology, from polyethylene for the transportation of Natural Gas through to fluoropolymerlined steel tanks and pipework for use with high temperature aggressive chemicals in hazardous environments both on and off-shore.

Installation and site services
Our experienced engineers offer a full process equipment and associated pipework installation service, including the lining of new and existing concrete tanks and underground services. We also manage planned shutdowns and emergency repairs.

Bespoke fabrications
As a result of continual investment in high technology equipment, our CNC-controlled welding, thermoforming, winding and machining equipment can produce intricate components in thermoplastic and fluoropolymer materials.
