The Board of Directors of Motherwell Bridge Ltd. consider the health, safety of its employees, and others who may be affected by its activities, to be of paramount importance. They are committed to the environment and this is demonstrated by maintaining an environmental management system which meets the requirements of ISO 14001: 2004. Health Safety & Environment are held on a par with other management disciplines such as financial performance, production, quality and service.
Health, Safety and Environment is a line management responsibility within the organisation, with responsibility and authority being allocated to the Chief Operating Officer and the General Managers of the individual Business Units to ensure that the policy, and its objectives, are implemented, maintained and developed in a manner appropriate to the nature of the risks involved within the individual Business Units.
Since the involvement of employees is vital to the success of any health, safety and environmental policy, the requirements of the policy and its objectives are to be communicated to them to make them aware of their individual and collective responsibilities.
The policy, which will be made available to the public and also to interested parties on request, will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
