MB Aerospace lands Boeing contract extension

MB Aerospace Ltd are delighted to announce the award of an additional contract to their current order book with Boeing Integrated Defense Systems in St. Louis, MO, USA.

This contract will involve MB Aerospace supplying several Launch Systems for the Boeing Harpoon program. This order will run concurrently with existing orders and will generate additional sales revenue of approximately $3m.

MB Aerospace’s plant at Burnley specialises in the supply chain management, integration and assembly of defence systems for a range of global defence contractors. MB Aerospace has undertaken this work for several years and will co-ordinate and programme manage an approved global supply chain to enable manufacture, test and final assembly of these launch systems.

This new award will also generate additional work packages for MB Aerospace’s Motherwell plant in Scotland. The Motherwell plant in Central Scotland has significant capability providing a range of CAM and precision machined aerospace components for the commercial and defence aerospace markets.
