Reinforced Plastics

The reinforced plastics division of MB Plastics specialises in the bespoke design and manufacture of FRP and FRP/Thermoplastic tanks, vessels and pipework. MB Plastics designs and manufactures FRP vessels and pipework in a range of thermosetting resins with or without thermoplastic and fluoropolymer chemical barriers including uPVC, cPVC, PP, E-CTFE, PTFE and PVDF.

MB Plastics complies with the relevant international industrial standards for process pipework and vessels namely BS 4994:1987, DVS 2205, BS6464, PS 15/69, BS 7159 and A D Merkblatt.

Design expertise is an essential element in FRP fabrication, MB Plastics design facilities are founded on many years experience designing and manufacturing in accordance with all recognised standards in a wide range of resin materials and thermoplastics. This expertise is translated into manufacturing drawings and isometrics produced with the aid of the latest computer aided design systems.

Manufacturing processes are constantly monitored in the company’s process control laboratories to ensure conformity with design and production requirements and to provide comparative information on the relative properties of new materials or manufacturing processes.

Site Services

MB Plastics has dedicated site teams operating from its facilities in Warrington and Middlesborough for installation and maintenance of FRP and thermoplastic pipework, tanks and vessels. Chemical and pharmaceutical industries in particular, rely heavily on MB Plastics personnel for permanent site based maintenance teams, shutdowns and emergency work to keep vital plant in running order and for routine installation of factory manufactured FRP.
