MB WellClad has
a proven track record in providing a specialised turnkey overlay cladding
and machining
service to a wide variety of clients.
The “cladding” of alloy steels with corrosion Resistant Alloys
is a fully field proven process. This cladding provides a cost effective
surface treatment for components used in highly aggressive services
where highly corrosive, erosive or extreme wear mechanisms prevail.
Welding Processes
MB WellClad welding processes are the subject of continuous improvement
through in-house research and development, aimed at yielding even
further enhanced reliability and performance.
The
Corrosive Resistant Alloys (CRA), hard facing materials and associated
welding processes are carefully researched and developed by the
company and its suppliers. The resultant techniques are also based
on the latest information and data available from users in the oil
and gas, petrochemical, marine, power generation, process and aerospace
industries.
Welding Techniques for application of overlay include:
- Pulsed Hot Wire TIG (GTAW)
- Manual TIG (GTAW)
- Sub Arc Welding
- Electro-Slag Deposition
- Synergic Pulsed MIG
- Manual Metal Arc
