MCS Wins Major Petroplus Contract May 2001

Motherwell Control Systems are proud to announce the receipt of a major order with Petroplus Tankstorage Limited for their highly acclaimed NT5000 Tank Gauging Systems, V5000 Valve Control System and Oil Accounting and Stock Reporting. The contract will be undertaken in three phases, for the Milford Haven Site.

Petroplus, Europe’s first and leading independent midstream oil company as well as one of the world’s largest oil storage operators, [Petroplus Web Site 2001], opted for the Motherwell Control Systems Tank Gauging Systems software package above all other competitors.

Since the initial release of Series 5000 in 1987, the package has continued to set the standard for Tank Gauging Systems worldwide.

NT5000 is our Microsoft Windows based system for real time monitoring of tank gauges on refineries and tank farms. The system is highly user configurable, whilst maintaining high data security through the password driven data entry system. The system also incorporates full flow control capabilities, enabling the operator to open and close valves, start and stop pumps with indication of device states displayed on the system in real time.

MCS has always valued the solutions based concept in the development of their products and services, and believes it a vital tool for their future impact on the market. This project has been no exception. MCS found the right solution for the Company’s needs.

Mr. Malcolm Anderson, Sales Director comments: "Motherwell Control Systems sees this as the start of a solid relationship between the two companies, to be continually built on through the provision of quality products and services."
