MCS Take Part in the TSA (Tank Storage Association) Conference 2001 – May 2001

Motherwell Control Systems were delighted to take part in the TSA Conference 2001 (Formerly ITSA), as one of a select group chosen to exhibit at the event.

TSA’s role is to champion the needs of its membership in Safety, Health, Environmental and Technical matters, in conjunction with keeping those associated well informed with up-to-date information and viewpoints. Its most admirable aim is to represent the independent bulk liquid industry, so that UK regulators take account of the needs of the sector, in tandem with enhancing the status of the industry.

The conference is a major forum for the Association to express industry views and promote non-commercial issues. This year the conference covered various Health and Safety topics. These are issues that Motherwell Control Systems are proud to support through its participation in the event.

The talks were given by highly respected and acknowledged members of the industry, and concluded with a customer view of the Bulk Liquid Storage Industry by Mr. Andrew Ottaway, Operations Manager SIP Ltd. Mr. Ottaway presented the requirements of a speciality marketing company and the quality procedures of a medical product marketer. In addition he drew attention to the need to integrate storage requirements with those of transportation and delivery. Further, Mr. Ottaway pin pointed the requirements of storage providers and the factors governing their choice concluding with customers concerns for the future. Giving a valuable, well rounded insight into client concerns.

The conference was very well attended with over 100 delegates, and the MCS stand attracted a great deal of interest. MCS displayed its range of Tank Gauging Systems and a selection of its complementary range of Storage Tank Fittings.
