Heat Treatment Facilities / Services

MB Inspection provides a full range of Heat Treatment Services both at its own bases and at client sites, that allows the company to heat treat any Pressure Vessel, most Structures, Castings and Piping Systems.

These services include traditional Heat Treatment practices using heat pads and automated control methods, but also offer to clients a much more unique service via the companies four large Heat Processing Furnaces.

Heat Processing Furnaces

MB Inspection owns and operates at its Motherwell Base, the following Heat Processing Furnaces:

• Electric Horizontal Hairpin Furnace (Capacity 1 Tonne and up to 1.4m long x 0.9m wide x 0.46m high in size.)
• Electric (Tophat) Furnaces
  •  a)   Capacity 5 Tonne and up to 3m long x 2.6m wide x 2m high in size.
  •  b)    Capacity 20 Tonne and up to 5.6m long x 3.4m wide x 3m high in size.
• Gas (Tophat) ( Capacity 100 Tonne and up to 17m long x 6m wide x 6m high in size.)
